ABOUT AMIR TOURS
Amir Tours is a family owned tourism business based in Sapir in the Arava Desert, Israel. It is operated by a husband and wife team, Tali and Itai Amir. Together, the dynamic duo manage three divisions, Jeep Adventures in the Arava and Dead Sea regions, Arava Experiences and Israel Tours.
Tali and Itai 'live and breathe' Israel in every way and their passion and love for the country can be seen through the customized itineraries and experiences they create and offer to their clients. They are truly dedicated to working with every 'wish list', vision, expectation or request to create a unique and memorable journey throughout the Land of Israel.
MEET THE TEAM
Itai was born and raised in Herzliya, Israel and now lives with his family in Sapir in the Arava. He has always been very passionate about Israel and from a young age Itai loved to travel and explore the country, especially the desert region. Upon returning from his post army service travels, he enrolled in the prestigious Tour Guide course and has been guiding ever since receiving his licence.
Over the years, Itai has worked with Israeli youth and families and young adult Jewish groups and delegations from abroad. He has also worked with many private families and small groups from countries such as Australia, Canada, South African, England and America, some of whom have been in Israel for a touring holiday, while others for special occassions such as bar/bat mitzvahs or weddings.
Itai’s love of the land and diverse background in the field of guiding, provides him with a broad range of skills and knowledge to create unforgettable Israel, Arava and Jeep experiences filled with depth, diversity, adventure and a whole lot of fun!
Tali was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Growing up she was very involved in the Jewish community where she attended Jewish day school and participated in a Jewish youth movement which sowed the seeds of her love for the land of Israel.
Throughout her university study for a Bachelor of Art Education in Australia, Tali co-ordinated many trips to Israel for young Jewish adults. She also studied in Jerusalem for a year at the Bezalel Art Academy. This further inspired her desire to want to make aliyah and pursue the Tour Guide licence course.
Tali now combines her two passions of Art and Guiding to showcase the many narratives and flavours of Israel, specifically the Arava. She facilitates special workshops connecting people to the land through one-of-a-kind colouring-in art experiences.
